CHEF
Adam Munroe

It all started when…

Adam attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI where he started his culinary training. In 2005, he began his career with The Country Club of Brookline, MA. At The Country Club, he worked up the ladder of the culinary program and received numerous promotions. Ultimately, he became an Executive Chef of his own culinary department. Adam also participated in many local culinary competitions earning medals in all competitions. In June 2012, Adam’s talents warranted a spot on the 2013 USA Culinary Olympic Team, which represents 25,000 chefs from the American Culinary Federation and currently 72 countries from the World Association of Cooks Society.

Adam has gone on to work, create, foster and mentor culinary teams and programs of two of the oldest and most respected country clubs in Massachusetts.

The quote from J.R.R. Tolkien, an English writer and poet, speaks to a credo that Adam has developed and applied both professionally and personally. He believes being proficient in what is important in life and work takes time, patience, discipline and enjoyment. The creation of Perfect Strangers is a way to use the skills he has crafted, and help develop relationships with people he may not have encountered. Working alongside professionals and leaders of the culinary world like Joseph Leonardi, Certified Master Chef; Kristin LaCount, Certified Club Manager; David Chag, Certified Club Manager and Robert Mancuso, Certified Master Chef, has allowed him to see and respect food and the art in new light. The respect for cuisine, wild life and agriculture has driven him to become fascinated with the art of making maple syrup, harvesting honey, and the appreciation for farmers alike. Working with the same establishment for the last 12 years has allowed him to grow fond appreciation for consistency, maturity, teamwork, cooperation and respect for superiors, co-workers, and mentors.
